MISSION
The Montréal Climate Coalition informs and connects citizens, political decision-makers, and other energy-transition actors as to practices and policies that will guarantee the achievement of carbon neutrality.

VISION
The Montréal Climate Coalition will lobby and educate political, organizational and institutional leaders, as well as citizens, to take bold action towards carbon-neutrality by 2042, the 400th anniversary of the City of Montréal.

VALUES
We believe in the fundamental value of respect for the laws of nature, which facilitate the healthy functioning of multiple ecosystems, of which we are a part. We support formal recognition of the right of all citizens to a healthy and viable environment.

STRATEGIES
We will:

• Encourage actors in the transition to undertake bold and innovative actions so that we can create a society that is in perfect harmony with the environment.
• Influence citizens and various energy-transition actors to work together through democratic consensus-building to define priority actions, as well as implementation strategies, in a shared roadmap to a carbon-neutral Montréal.

We believe that:

• All citizens and actors in the transition must be involved at all levels, so that we can together achieve carbon neutrality.
• The City of Montreal must participate together with other large cities in a world-wide movement to make a viable future for the children of the world, now and in the future.
